For their debut release on Revok Records, Acid Replika deliver a menacing techno soundtrack to a dystopian sci-fi anime. featuring the bitter sweet vocals of KEIK-Ö.
Remixes from Alpha Sect, Arkhan, Kirril and Lesser Of round out this dark and dangerous EP.
"I wrote Meltdown (Roshin Yukai in Japanese) after the 2011 devastating tsunami incident in Japan, my home country, that caused the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. This song wasn’t particularly about that incident but about the danger of nuclear accidents in general. I’ve always been aware that such fear exists but we have no choice but to live with it, and every time we build a nuclear plant we must ask ourselves “Are we ready to live with it?”
Some of the feedback we've had for this release so far:
▶︎Ancient Methods - Meltdown & its Alpha Sect rmx for me!
▶︎DJ Dialog - Pure techno hammers!!
▶︎Lady Maru - love it as usual
▶︎3SBAT - Beautiful industrial / broken EP! Love the textures, the dark atmosphere and the eerie voices perfectly mixed together. Difficult to pick only one fav: choosing 'Privacy Invasion (original mix)' and 'Privacy Invasion (Lesser Of)' for their dark and raw energy, and Meltdown (Arkhan Remix) for the drums design.
▶︎She!k - I really love the intensity on this one. Privacy Invasion is a pure, driving techno banger. Keik-O's vocals provide a captivating disembodied vibe. The Arkhan Remix of Meltdown is fabulous rave chaos...
